Breeding small to large breed rabbit?

I have a mini rex doe, can i breed her to a small sized standard rex buck safely? thank youBreeding small to large breed rabbit?
Watch out there are two genes which determine size in a rabbit. Lets call them dwarf (l) and large (L). Your standard size rabbit has only large L genes in the gene pool. Your mini sized rabbit can have any combo of dwarf l or large L (unless of course they get ll in which case they are peanuts and destined to die). If your doe get LL kits she may not be able to push them out. Much of this depends on whether or not she has LL or Ll. My LL Holland Lop/Satin mix just lost 2 kits and went into early labor last year because they were too big. An LL is a breeding doe/meat buck Ll is a show quality animal, and ll will not survive (but you won't get them, cuz buck MUST be LL)Breeding small to large breed rabbit?
Please DO NOT breed your rabbit. Think of the thousands and thousands of bunnies that are put to death every year because they can't find homes. If you want to raise a new baby bunny, take a look at adopting one from a shelter. They have all ages, sizes, and breeds available!

Here's a list of shelters so you can find one near you: http://www.rabbit.org/adoption/index.htm鈥?/a>
usually you want it to be the other way around a large doe to small buck how small is the buck and how big is the doe if its 4lb to 5 or 6 your will probably be ok don't go any larger then that
deffinatly swich it around. the doe should always be bigger. this is for safe kindling. this way the kits will not get stuck.
