My rabbit has just had three beautiful kits. Will they be ok?

I am new to baby rabbits so will take any advice given! I have a hutch with attached run. My rabbit give birth yesterday. I know NOT to touch them but the mother doesnt seem to go near them. She sits in the run, while theyre inside. They are wrapped in hay and her fur so I know they are warm. Do they not need regular feeding from their mother? My rabbit has just had three beautiful kits. Dont worry, rabbits only feed their babies twice a day, usually late at night or early morning. They ignore them the rest of the time, it's perfectly normal. I would move the whole nest and the kits into a cardboard box with a hole cut out so the doe can get in. If the kits wander out too soon they will die, the mother will never put them back in the nest, so it's important to make sure they can't get out. You can wait a few days before you move them. Domestic rabbits rarely abandon their kits due to human smell on them, so don't worry. You can touch them as long as the mother doesn't get upset, but rub your hands on her before and after just in case. They will be fine!My rabbit has just had three beautiful kits. Will they be ok?
Yes, they need regular feeding. Sometimes captive animals who never had enough contact with their own kind growing up seem to be unable to care for their young. Perhaps they never learned how from seeing others raising their's? Who knows. There are also many other reasons why mothers sometimes give up on seemingly healthy offspring and sometimes there seems to be no reason at all (just like humans!).

You rabbit may be unable mentally or just unwilling to care for her kits. Something outside her hutch may be bothering her that you aren't aware of. Nearby cats, dogs, birds of prey, other predators.

You need to watch her very closely. If she does not go in and feed and groom them you will have to intervene. But make sure that she isn't caring for them first. It might be that you just never see her feeding them. Be careful in that respect. If you are able to care for them yourself, great. But since you don't know much about newborn rabbits you might want to try to find someone who will take them on. Find a rescue. Join a rabbit forum. You might find someone who could explain to you how to care for them properly if the mother won't.

Just remember that sometimes bad care is worse than none at all, so if you feel like you can't care for them find someone who knows how to that will take them.
they do but when u want to touch them rub one of your fingers on her nose and u can touch them my rabbits had baby's they shard the responsibility's of feeding them
Keep them warm, and keep them in a dry place.
try your best and keep them as warm as you can =]
