I have three cats and really want a rabbit.?

My questions are

1. are rabbits and cats adaptable to eachother?

2. do rabbits make good pets?

3. are rabbits more maintenance than cats?

thanks so much for you help! i just want to see what i'm getting into before i commit. don't want the little bunny to be sad!I have three cats and really want a rabbit.?
When I wanted a pet in addition to my cats, I got a hedgehog. With almost any other pet plus cats, somebody's going to eat somebody, and it ain't gonna be pretty.I have three cats and really want a rabbit.?
I got 4 cats and want a sugar glider so bad but I'm not willing to take the risk... I raised rabbits when I was smaller but 4-H and their a pain in the ***. They stink, your consistently shoveling crap out from under the cage and that's after you repair the holes where they constantly try to chew their way out. so in answer to your questions no cats eat rabbits, rabbits suck as pets and are a million times more maintenance then cats!
no no no no NO!!

dont ever get a cat to bond with a rabbit first of all the cat WILL attack the poor little bun
1: Cats are more scared of rabbits than the rabbits are of cats. You can teach the cat that the rabbit wont hurt it. You can get books showing yo how to do it. my cat doesn't really have contact with the rabbits hes a little timid of them but he will jump up and sleep on top of their cage.

2: they do make good pets but you have to be patient with them because most rabbits don't like being handled but they will tolerate you stroking them for a little while.

3: rabbits need much more maintenance than cats. You need to clean them out every week at least, make sure they have fresh hay/ straw, top up the sawdust, fresh food and water twice a day, with my two rabbits getting them to go to bed is the hardest part we have made them a run and leave the doors to the hutch open all day, they get all hyped up when i try getting them into the hutch for the night. whereas with my cat he doesn't mind staying out all night or inside all night. He sleeps pretty much all day and eats whenever he wants. He doesn't have a litter box so he just goes outside so no cleaning out involved.

If your not sure still see if someone you know has a rabbit and see if you can look after them for a couple of days like go over and clean them out and feed them and then see.

the website below has a section on socialising cats and rabbits.
1.Yes rabits are good with cats. My friend has on and it likes the cat.

2.yes rabbits make good pets. They will suck on your finger and nibble at it

3.That's up to yo.

Personally I think that they're the same thing
1. I have a rabbit and a cat. My cat watches the bunny a lot and she likes to sneak up on it. Just as long as you do not bring your rabbit too close to the cat, it should be okay. And never leave your rabbit alone with a cat.

2. Rabbits make excellent pets. You can walk them with a cat collar and leash or a rabbit harness around outside just like a dog. You can play with them and they are so cute!

3. Rabbits are very much the same maintenance as cats. You can litter box train your rabbit, just like you can a cat. It is easy. Check out http://www.rabbithaven.org/BunnyBasics/l… for more details on rabbit litter box training. You can walk cats, just like you can walk bunnies outside. They are very much alike in maintenance.

Good luck with your pets!
1. Rabbits and almost any animal can get along, including cats. It depends on your cats personalities more than anything.

2. Rabbits make awesome pets! I had one that lived for almost 10 years and have had a total of 4. As long as you spend time with them, holding them, they will be very loveable. Ours all loved to be on our laps, and mine would even lay on his back in my lap and sleep or allow me to clip his nails.

3. They really aren't any maintenance at all. They can be litterbox trained and can be left for a few days with a good supply of food and water. They only need to go to the vet if they get ill.

Most cats will leave the bunny alone but they will not be friend unless you have a cat like mine who was caught snuggling up to a skunk! Rabbits make great pets but they do cost a lot. The kibble(not ones with seeds they make them sick!) and hay, the litter and treats so forth I find cost more then my two small dogs! We haven't fixed ours because where we live they want over $500 to fix but that's just here. Males will spray! The possiblities of having health issues arrise when getting a rabbit from the pet stores so find a good breeder. female rabbits with out getting fixed live abou 2-5 years and the males 7 so your in for a long term pet. Have fun!
1. a rabbit with 3 cats won't end up well.

2. rabbit are good pets if u really like them

3. rabbits can be more maintenance then cats.
My cat and rabbit dont really get along. My cat is curious and tries to hit my rabbit. Rabbits make good pets, but they are probably more maintenance than cats. You have a cage to clean, and veggies and timothy hay to feed your rabbit that you never have to do for cats. Cats can entertain themselves, but a rabbit will get bored inside a cage all day. They need at least four hours of outside the cage playtime, and they need to be watched constantly while they are out of the cage. They like to chew on things, including electrical wires, so be careful. Good luck on what ever you decide.
Yes, rabbits and cats can get along.

1. I have a rabbit and a cat myself, they get along decently. but you couldn't want to leave them in a room alone together. my cat gets excited when she is around the rabbit.

2. Rabbits make excellent pets. as long as you are willing to put in some extra effort. it helps to get them when they are not too old, because they will become more attached. and as long as you get them when they are young, and handle them often, they can be great to cuddle with.

3.They are more maintenance than cats. and depending on what kind of rabbit you get, they can be a lot more messy simply because they shed their fur, depending on the climate. a good way to help keep your house clean, would be to have a outdoor pen for them so they can eat grass... and not your couch. as well as a indoor cage. where i live it gets very warm in the summer, so we alternate our rabbit indoors and out.

I hope this helped!
